COATS

A drop in temperature is no excuse to stop dressing nicely. You can be fashionable AND warm! Here I explored some of the comfy and stylish outerwear options of this season.
What Goes Around Comes Around is a high end designer consignment store in SOHO New York City and outside of their store they featured a sign which basically says it all:
Hats, fur and Chanel will always be in style. For right now I'm going to focus on fur coats. They are a great way to dress up an outfit and they are so comfortable and warm. I highly recommend finding a nice faux fur coat. Fur is a nice look but animal cruelty is not. Here are some cute coats I found:

The next type of jacket that I looked at was duffle coats. Duffle coats are named after the material they are made of, duffle (super warm!), which originated in Belgium. These coats have been popular since the first world war so you can count on them never going out of style. They are also a great look for men and women!

Leather jackets are also a nice way to add some edge to an outfit. If paired with some other dark clothes or cut offs it can look pretty tough but if put with a nice white dress it can have a sweet effect. I love both options.

Cargo jackets are also another nice look thought they are not as warm. They can be nice with layers or by themselves in the upcoming spring.

The last type of jacket that I looked at was blazers. Blazers are great for dressing up an outfit and they can work with pants, skirts, or dresses. They're a personal favorite and I don't think a wardrobe is complete without at least one black blazer (tan is nice too!).

And of course blazers always look nice on men either as dress or casual wear.
I hope you all can find a coat to fall in love with this winter. Stay warm! xoxo A
