Home-made bow!

I love wearing bows in my hair, on my clothes, on my feet, as jewelry... really anywhere possible that a bow can be stuck on. I decided to make my own bow earlier this year and this was the result. It's a little exaggerated but sometimes, bigger really is better. Hopefully there will be more bows up here soon...

New York Trip

Over the weekend I went to New York City where, of course, there is some amazing fashion and style. And also some amazing stores!

I went by the Miu Miu store and fell in love. Their clothing, designed by Prada, is indescribably girly and fun. I found this one tiny red purse with blue fills and a bow that I stared at for a good 15 minutes in the store until the woman working there came up and told me only a couple of them were made and that it was $650. Someday. Here are some items from Miu Miu ready to wear:

I also went by this great vintage store called Search and Destroy in St. Marks

The clothes there are very punk and fun and crazy. The store had a very Vivienne Westwood-y feel to it. Although the clothes are moderately expensive, they truly are great clothes and worth the money. They have a great collection of Doc Martens which made me really want a pair of these:
Lastly, I made my way to the LF store in Soho. It was jam packed with young women trying to get their hands on the winter items that are unusually cheap. LF's only sale of the season is coming to a close, but I managed to pick up some great things from the sale.
Jeffery Campbell shoes
LF shirt, Urban Outfitters shorts.
I love the sheer-blouse trend thats going on right now. It's great for spring and summer especially, which is right around the corner...
Here is some more from LF's spring 2011 look book:

Thrift Store Finds

On a recent trip to the Garment District (located at 200 Broadway in Cambridge, MA) we found some great items. Take a look!

Blake Lively Tribute

Gossip Girl fashionista Blake Lively is the new face of Chanel's Mademoiselle Hand Bag. Since the days of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Lively has dramatically changed her style and is now a fashion icon. She says she does not even employ a stylist, and always dresses herself. Of course she has gotten many other offers to be the face of different designers but waited for Chanel to ask her. Her style is very classic and beautiful. She often wears clothes straight off the runway, and pulls it off with grace.
